I've been on a Santana kick lately. I painted this to go in a group show at Fingerprints record store here in Long Beach. The opening date isn't set in stone but should be coming here pretty soon. This is Santana's debut album cover from 1969 with a Creep twist to it. All the black line work is done with one shot enamel on the front of the window and the color is acrylic paint on the back. I had a lot of fun with this one.

This is a class assignment I really enjoyed. I was to pick at least two ordinary objects and tell a story in three panels. The objects were: a block of wood, an old date nail with the number 13 on the head(meaning it's from 1913), and a hammer. The story is about the underdogs, the nails and  wood, getting revenge on the hammers after years and years of pounding abuse. I used black ink and a little bit of ink wash with this piece.
